Dr. Bynum was born and raised just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Arizona State University in 2010 and then said goodbye to the Sonoran Desert. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he earned his DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2014.
After earning his doctorate, he headed west to practice dentistry and to be closer to his family, many of whom live in Portland. Aaron has since fallen in love with Oregon, where he spends his free time hiking, salmon fishing, skiing, surfing, and playing music with his band.
Aaron loves practicing dentistry because of the artistry involved. He also prides himself in helping his patients improve their oral health and overall well-being by providing quality dental care. He is passionate about preventative care and evidence-based dentistry. Aaron volunteers most every year on dental relief missions in rural communities without access to dental care throughout the Caribbean in coordination with the Great Shape 1000 Smiles project.
